This year, the University of Regina will celebrate the 2015 International Education Week (IEW) from November 23 – 27, 2015. To celebrate 18 years of partnerships and collaborations with our Mexican partner universities, the University of Regina has partnered with the Consulate of Mexico in Calgary and created a vibrant week full of events profiling Mexico as a key partner country of both Canada and the University of Regina. UR International has developed an exciting IEW program for students, faculty, staff, and members of the local community of Regina. There will be a series of presentations with various topics, including opportunities to go to Mexico on an academic exchange or as a Visiting Professor/Researcher; a Film Series of Mexican Modern Cinema with screenings around the City of Regina; and a photo exhibit, titled “Colours of Mexico”, featuring the richness of Mexican people and landscapes. In addition, as part of the 2015 IEW, UR International is hosting a “Day of the Dead” celebration on the evening of Thursday November 26 in the Multipurpose Room located in the Dr. William Riddell Centre to embrace the vastness of Mexican culture and traditions.
