Featuring Bettyann Cox and Ross Macnab, moderated by Robert Hawkins Courts, universities, professional sports teams and workplace employers have increasingly been called upon to deal with allegations of sexual misconduct allegedly perpetrated by students, athletes and members of the general public. Much media coverage has been given to these incidents, and two polarizing view points have emerged in how these incidents should be handled – one focusing on the rights of the accused to be treated fairly, and the other focusing on the right of the victim. These two approaches often clash and cause confusion as the general public tries to sort out what should happen in these types of situations. Join in the discussion on the legal framework governing harassment, the implications of communication technology, common mistakes and problems that occur in dealing with harassment complaints and how employers and employee groups should respond to allegations of harassment.
