The Department of Philosophy and Classics, in association with the University of Regina Bookstore, presents the launch of a new publication. Author: Phillip Hansen Title: Reconsidering C.B. Macpherson: From Possessive Individualism to Democratic Theory and Beyond Praised as “the definitive defence of Macpherson’s project and an original and important intervention into contemporary political theory in its own right,” Reconsidering C.B. Macpherson provides a detailed exposition and re-examination of the key ideas of C.B. Macpherson, one of Canada’s preeminent political thinkers. The book argues that his ideas hold significant value for political and social thought today. Phillip Hansen is professor emeritus of philosophy at the University of Regina Professor Hansen will be in attendance and will discuss his new book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
