The teaching and Learning with the Power of Technology (TLt) conference is organized in rotation by Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Regina to apply appropriate technologies to add value to the learning environment, to engage students, and to support students’ learning in various modes of instructional delivery. This year’s theme is “Creating Open and Connected Communities”. As the Province of Saskatchewan and the University of Regina focus on communities on their strategic plan, the conference will connect K-12, regional colleges, and post-secondary institutions in using technology to create open and connected communities. The 2-day event will bring educators from across Saskatchewan and Canada to Regina to demonstrate and showcase the best practices of teaching and learning with the power of technology. This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, the being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
George Bernard Shaw
