In Disney’s version of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale, a young mermaid named Ariel is fascinated by life on land. When Ariel saves Prince Eric from drowning, she falls in love with him and longs to be a part of his human world. A wicked sea witch preys upon Ariel’s desires and tricks her into forfeiting her voice in exchange for three days as a human being and the chance to win Prince Eric’s heart. Complications ensue, and Ariel must choose between achieving her dreams and thwarting the sea witch’s evil plans.

Director/choreographer Chip McDaniel and music director Bob Nicholls are looking for a talented mix of performers comprised of youngsters (aged 10 to 13) and adults. An engaging plot and colourful characters are at the core of this energetic production, which includes the musical numbers “The World Above,” “She’s in Love,” and “I Want the Good Times Back.”

Get Directions

You nourish your soul by fulfilling your destiny, by developing the potential that the soul represents. When you fulfill your soul’s destiny, you will feel “right.” Conversely, when you ignore your soul’s destiny, when you get caught up in your own self-interests and forget to care for others, you will not feel “right.” Instead, you will feel empty and unfulfilled. During these times, you are neglecting your soul–you are depriving it of nourishment. When I talk to people who feel this emptiness and lack of fulfillment, I recommend they find a source of balance in their lives. I suggest they find a way to “give back” to the world in order to feel a sense of completeness.
