Featuring a panel of experts, including: Daniel Béland, Professor and Canada Research Chair in Public Policy (Tier 1), Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy Cheryl Camillo, Assistant Professor, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy John Courtney, Senior Policy Fellow, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy Dale Eisler, Senior Policy Fellow, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy The 2016 U.S. elections have been exceptionally spectacular and contentious due to the negative ratings of the major party nominees – Democrat Hilary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump – and the country’s fractious political climate. This panel will analyze the presidential campaign and important federal and state races for their effects on key public policy issues and Canada-U.S. relations.
