Centre on Aging and Health Distinguished Lecture: Mental Health Issues for Older Adults and Their Caregivers Speaker: Dr. Victor Molinari of the School of Aging Studies at the University of South Florida Abstract: Dr. Molinari will discuss how common mental health problems of older adults affect their caregivers. In particular, he will address the assessment and treatment of late-life depression, serious mental illness, and dementia. He will then talk about the burdens and benefits of caregiving, providing suggestions for going beyond just addressing symptoms in order to facilitate improvement in the quality of life of older adults.
