Canadian country legends Doc Walker are back at it again, with their new best of album Echo Road – The Best of Doc Walker. The new single, Heaven on Dirt is set to be released this summer, on July 1, 2016.
With over 20 Top 10 singles in total, Doc Walker is one of the most recognized Canadian country acts of the past two decades. The group has received multiple Canadian Country Music Awards, including Fans’ Choice, Group or Duo of the Year, CMT Video of the Year, Single of the Year, and Country Music Program or Special of the Year. In addition, Doc Walker has been nominated for several JUNO Awards for Country Album of the Year, including a win in 2009 for the album Beautiful Life.
“We write music from the heart, with our fans in mind” said lead singer Chris Thorsteinson. “This record is unique in that it encapsulates where we are from and where we are going. We can’t wait for fans both new and old to hear it.”
Even with several mantelpieces worth of hardware to their credit, and a growing international profile that has resulted in three Australian tours, the band refuses to rest on past laurels. Listeners can expect to sing along to their new upcoming track, while enjoying the old favourites that has made Doc Walker such a great success.
