Mr. Nathan Janzen is an economist with RBC Economics Research. He will be speaking on the economic outlook for Canada and Saskatchewan and on the impact of changes in oil prices. Mr. Janzen’s focus at RBC Economics Research is on analysis and forecasting of macroeconomic and financial market developments in Canada and the United States and is a regular contributor to a number of RBC publications. He joined the Economics Department at RBC in 2008 after completing a M.A. in Economics at McMaster University and a B.A. Honours degree from the University of Regina.

When I asked about his work and finding meaning through helping others, he responded, “I don’t think you can be focused on, ‘Oh gee, I want to make a difference.’ It has to be spontaneous. If it’s not…there’s some kind of egotistical thing going on. That’s a red flag. You hope you impact people on the deepest level you are capable of at the time.
