Now and Next: New Curatorial Projects Bio – Alex King is the new Curator/Preparator for the University of Regina President’s Art Collection. Alex comes to the University of Regina from the Estevan Art Gallery & Museum, where she was Curator. Prior to that she was a Curatorial Assistant at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Registrar at Annely Juda Fine Art, London, and Compliance Assistant at Sotheby’s, London. She holds a BA in Visual Culture from the University of Brighton, UK, and an MA in International Museum Studies from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Alex has a wealth of art experience which will be invaluable in curating the existing University art collection, incorporating the Shumiatcher donation, and collaborating with the MacKenzie Art Gallery in joint exhibition projects relating to the Shumiatcher donation.
