Scotland, England, Bulgaria and Sask Beach: Leesa Streifler discusses her recent sabbatical Bio – Leesa Streifler is a professor in the Visual Arts Department where she has taught painting and drawing at the undergraduate and graduate levels for close to three decades. In 2014/15, Streifler was a U of R Humanities Research Institute Fellow. During her year-long sabbatical in 2014/15, Streifler participated in the Hospitalfield International Residency in Arbroath, Scotland and mounted a solo exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria. These two events, as well as her studio research will be the focus of her Fine Arts Presentation Series lecture.
