FIRST LEGO Celebration

The public is invited to attend a celebration of students in Grades 4-8 from around Southern Saskatchewan who have been taking part in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) League challenge for 2014. Each year, a new themed challenge is released and teams of young people around the world each work to: build and program a LEGO robot to complete tasks in a robot game; research and present a project related or connected to their community; and to carry themselves as gracious professionals according to the core values of the FIRST LEGO League ( http://www.firstlegoleague.org). Do you, or someone you know, like LEGO and robotics? Do you know someone between the ages of 9 and 14 who might like to participate in next year’s challenge (for which registration opens May 1)?
