Intro to Powwow features live dance performances and showcases the spiritual, physical and cultural benefits of powwow. Presentations provide a contextual and historical framework for powwow. Along with providing information about the development and organization of powwow, Intro to Powwow is an opportunity to learn about the significance and meaning behind the songs and dances, and describes the different elements of the specific regalia associated with each style of dance. Anyone interested in learning more about powwow is welcome to attend. This session will be lead by Theodore Bison, Charging Bear. If you are bringing a group and/or require parking, please let us know. More information: http://www.uregina.ca/student/asc/events/2016/02/Intro%20to%20Powwow.html

We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow-men; and along those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.
