This 45 minute outdoor performance with horses, a Red River cart, a tipi and a host of historical characters, brings to life one of the most compelling encounters in Canadian frontier history; the initial meeting in the historic Cypress Hills region of Saskatchewan between the great Sioux Chief Sitting Bull (or Tatanka Iotaka, his Hunkpapa name) and legendary North West Mounted Police officer, Major James Walsh, following the Battle of Little Bighorn (1876) and the defeat of Colonel Custer. Where: RCMP Heritage Centre 5907 Dewdney Avenue, Regina SK When: Full dress rehearsal is Friday, June 24 at 2:30 p.m. Interviews with cast, crew and hosts to follow at 3:15 p.m. Performances are in English only. How: Performances held at the RCMP Heritage Centre every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. from June 25 to July 31 are made possible through support from Community Initiatives Fund, City of Regina, SaskCulture, Tourism Saskatchewan, Farm Credit Canada and Residence Inn Regina.
