The WestGrid Seminar Series hosts talks and tutorials on how to use WestGrid and Compute Canada resources. It also showcases examples of research projects that are supported by high performance computing. Sessions range in length from 30 minutes to an hour and are videoconferenced to participating institutions. This case study will discuss how Gaussian software will allow you to study the properties of molecules and their reactions, particularly in conditions which are difficult or impossible to observe experimentally. Gaussian is regularly used by Dr. Gino DiLabio, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Alberta. In this talk, DiLabio will highlight some of the top computational challenges his lab encounters and explain how his use of Gaussian on WestGrid computing facilities helps his research team overcome them.

Growth of the soul is our goal, and there are many ways to encourage that growth, such as through love, nature, healing our wounds, forgiveness, and service. The soul grows well when giving and receiving love. I nourish my soul daily by loving others and being vulnerable to their love. Love is, after all, a verb, an action word, not a noun.
Joan Borysenko, Ph.D.
