Opportunity Description:

The Heart & Stroke Canvass is a fundraising campaign that raises funds for research and shares life-saving health information with Canadians, through the help of 90,000 volunteers.

Heart disease and stroke takes a Canadian life every 7 minutes. We invite YOU to join the campaign to help protect the lives of our neighbours, friends and family.

Volunteer Role: CANVASSER

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Time Commitment: 3-6 hours during January and February

Responsibilities:

• Connect with your neighbourhoods, coworkers, family and friends online or in person with an outreach kit. Ask for donations, as well as share health information and thank donors
• Attend a training session in January
• Return your outreach kit and donations in March

Skills/Attributes:

• Enjoy interacting with people
• Willing to ask for donations in person and / or online (with training)
• Able to walk outdoors in February
