About the Walk

The Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History takes place in over 40 locations in Canada including Regina.  We rely on the energy, passion and skill of our generous volunteer to help make a difference in communities from coast-to-coast.  If you have a few hours a week in the months leading up to Walk Day on Sunday, May 26th, 2023 – we want to hear from you!

Position Overview

The Logistics Lead is responsible for the creation and implementation of the walk logistics plan in their community.  The goal is to ensure that all walkers and volunteers have a great time on site on Walk Day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement a logistics plan with the help of CF Canada resources (e.g. critical path and other useful planning documentation)
  • Prepare and implement a health and safety plan along with staff that adheres to Public Health & Safety Guidelines
  • Determine logistical needs for the site (food distribution, route layout, set-up and tear down, safety and security)
  • Work with Walk Chair & Volunteer Lead to ensure support of volunteers on event day
  • Arrange for all necessary supplies and equipment (donated whenever possible)
  • Organize all logistics on the day of the event
  • Identify and recruit technical support and suppliers (if required)
  • Liaise with suppliers and technical support
  • Provide CF Canada with a post-event logistics evaluation document
