Volunteers are at the heart of our organization and the Regina Food Bank would not be able to make an impact on our clients’ lives without the thousands of volunteers providing over ten thousand hours a year.
Our volunteer program looks a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have a variety of roles and shifts available, but we have limited the number of people we have in our space. We’ve changed our processes to keep our volunteers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, including asking those at higher risk to stay home. Whether you’re a new or existing volunteer, we will ask that you complete a Covid risk screening tool. If you answer YES to any of the questions, please refrain from volunteering with us at this time.
Our volunteers work with us in the warehouse, at the drive-thru, and in the commercial kitchen to provide quality services to our community members in need. We ask you to come in for half of a day, either in the morning or in the afternoon (8:45am – 12:00pm/12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Drive Thru Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) (9:15am – 12:00pm/1:15pm – 4:00pm in the warehouse Mon – Fri) (9:15am – 12:00pm kitchen Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs).
