Royal City Soccer Club (Soccer Summer Camp Volunteer – Regina)

We need Summer Soccer Camp Volunteers for our camps running from July to September! If you have a passion for soccer, working with children, and recreational outdoors activities, then this position is for you!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include assisting staff with:

• Facilitating soccer drills and warm ups (mornings only)
• Set up/clean up camp equipment each day
• Helping with camp activities
• Assisting with supervision in the swimming pool (afternoons only)
• Helping camp staff with any other needs that arise during the camp week.

Volunteers are required to watch a brief orientation video that will be sent electronically prior to starting.

COMMITMENT:

We want our volunteers to be committed to us because of the relationships that form between our campers and volunteers. Hours expected are 4 to 8 hours a day from 8:30am-4:30 pm. Volunteers may choose between a morning, afternoon, or full day shift based on their availability.

ELIGIBILITY:

We require our volunteers to be 14 years old at the start of the week they wish to volunteer. We do not hold a maximum age limit to volunteer, however if you are over the age of 18 you must provide a police check.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:

Volunteers are expected to be at camp according to one of three predetermined shifts based on your application. A letter confirming hours of volunteering is available on completion if requested.

Mornings 8:30am -12:30pm

Afternoons 12:30pm to 4:30pm

Full Days 8:30am to 4:30pm

Morning or afternoon sessions are approx 20 hours/week and full day sessions are approx 40 hours/week
