Why does CityKidz Regina exist?
Kids need to have hope, need to dream big, and need to have an image of a positive future.
MISSION: Increasing resiliency and inspiring BIG dreams for children living in low-income communities by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationships, one child at a time.
Our Big Dream: That one day, in the not so distant future, we will see the end of child poverty in Canada and every child would have equal opportunity to thrive, to dream big and to reach their full potential.
CityKidz Regina breaks this cycle of poverty by helping kids get off the path of least resistance and onto a path of hope, prosperity and significance.
How does CityKidz Regina do it:
By providing a Saturday afternoon faith-based program to children living in low-income communities.
Our Summer To Remember Program offers a variety of day camps and field trips for the children. As a volunteer you will participate in door-to-door transportation for the children; provide mentorship and safety on the bus and during the field trips. This is a great opportunity for high school and University students, particularly those in Education; Social Work; Youth Guidance/Councilling.
