Opportunity Description:

The YMCA of Regina is looking for volunteers for the Beyond the Bell program! Beyond the Bell is an after-school program, targeted to youth that are in Grades 1-6, which focuses on: enhancing numeracy and literacy, developing leadership skills, skill- building through recreation and healthy lifestyles. This program is based out of Arcola and Albert Community Schools and runs Monday- Friday from 3:00- 6:00 PM. We want to engage volunteers who are invested in youth and are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.

Responsibilities: • Be at least 10 minutes early for scheduled volunteer times • Commits to volunteering in the program for a consistent and ongoing amount of time (mutually determined with Beyond the Bell’s Program Director) • Participates alongside youth in the activities planned for that day. This may include sports and recreational activities, literacy and numeracy, or leadership activities. • Is a positive role model for youth and upholds high ethical standards for themselves at all times (in the Program and in general) • Adheres to the YMCA Code of Conduct, and YMCA Child Protection Procedures
