“Manuela Jankovic’s War”, is a film about Manuela who is a cook as lives with her grandmother, a Serbian immigrant who came to Mexico fleeing the World War II. Thousands of miles away, the Balkan conflict breaks out and the madness settles around these women who reproduce their own struggle in this corner of the world. The Mexican Film Series is part of the 2015 International Education Week, which profiles Mexico as a key-partner country of Canada and the University of Regina.
