English message follows: Cette formation s’adresse aux professionnels de santé de différents milieux (communautaires, centres de santé et hôpitaux), aux étudiants des sciences de la santé et à toute autre personne qui travaille avec les immigrants et qui souhaite se sensibiliser davantage à la réalité des nouveaux arrivants. Cela s’adresse aussi aux patients qui voudraient mieux connaître la compétence culturelle. Inscrivez-vous avant le 27 novembre 2015 en écrivant à jeanne.dumas@uregina.ca — The Consortium national de formation en santé (CNFS) at la Cité universitaire francophone invites you to attend a training session (in French) about linguistic and cultural adaptation. This training aims to help professionals develop cultural competencies in health care services. The session will be presented by Mamadou Ka, from the CNFS at the University of St-Boniface in Winnipeg. This training will cover: – better understanding of the notion of cultural competency – case studies regarding cultural competency in health care professions – understanding immigrants’ cultural sensitivities This training is intended for professionals in health care fields (in the community, in health centres, in hospitals), students from a variety of health disciplines, and anyone who is interested in the reality of newcomers.
