University Jazz Band

The University of Regina Jazz Band will be playing music by many composers, in many different styles, from all eras. The jazz band will perform music from the libraries of the Count Basie, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Claude Thornhill, and Buddy Rich bands. The music is written by Mary Lou Williams, Gil Evans, Hank Levy, Thelonious Monk, and others. The music represents over 60 years of music for big band, some of which will be instantly recognizable, and some will become new favourites.
