The Salvation Army Haven of Hope ministries provides emergency and social services to families and individuals that are disadvantaged and marginalized in and around the city of Regina. We run many transformative programs, to help lift people out of poverty, addiction and homelessness. These include “Lunch with Sally,” preparing income tax returns, Christmas assistance, camp programs for kids, and bagged lunches for low-income school children.  We also provide direct resources to those in desperate need of emergency services: food hampers, clothing, baby supplies and even beds through our Sleep Country program. We drive these programs through our annual Kettle Campaign each year – which is where volunteers are most needed. Please sign-up today and support those most vulnerable.

Growth of the soul is our goal, and there are many ways to encourage that growth, such as through love, nature, healing our wounds, forgiveness, and service. The soul grows well when giving and receiving love. I nourish my soul daily by loving others and being vulnerable to their love. Love is, after all, a verb, an action word, not a noun.
