Opportunity Description:

To provide administrative support specifically with data entry to the Diabetes Canada Team to enhance the customer service experience for our donors, volunteers, community partners and the general public.

TIME COMMITTMENT: 1 – 2 days per week during normal business hours (hours negotiable)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Become familiar with the daily operations
• Assist Staff partner with weekly administrative tasks as directed
• Work with staff leads to learn specific requirements of data entry into Diabetes Canada’s Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) platform
• Abide by all Diabetes Canada policies including Confidentiality & Privacy policies

TRAINING

• Orientation to the Diabetes Canada including the Direct Healthcare Advice Policy
• Role specific on-site training

SKILLS

• Experience and comfortable working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, strong in Excel
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience in an administrative or office environment or an interest in gaining experience in this area
• Highly organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Ability to take initiative and be self-directed
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience engaging and working with diverse groups of people
• Excellent command of the English language
• Engaging and outgoing personality
