Water is the lifeblood of our communities. From the lakes and rivers we enjoy to the clean drinking water in our homes, it’s something we often take for granted.
On March 22, the world celebrates World Water Day. It’s a day to think about how we can better protect this vital resource. Here in Southern Saskatchewan, we are lucky to have such important natural water sources, but keeping them healthy requires teamwork.
Why Volunteer for Water?
Many organizations in SK work year-round to protect our water quality and environment. These groups are almost always looking for extra hands to help out.
Whether it's a cleanup along our local shorelines and riverbanks, helping with a watershed committee, or supporting an environmental charity, your time makes a real difference.
Get Involved Locally
You don’t need to be an expert to help. You just need a bit of time and a willingness to support a good cause.
