The Regina Canada Day celebration at Wascana Centre is proudly organized by a dedicated board of volunteers, all of whom are members of the Regina community. Together with additional local volunteers, sponsors and vendors these board members work tirelessly to bring this vibrant celebration of Canada Day to life each year, creating an inclusive and joyful experience for all attendees.

We are currently recruiting volunteer mentors for the YMCA Plusone Mentoring program. With the objective of building strong communities, the YMCA has launched YMCA Plusone Mentoring. By developing the social skills of youth participants, and empowering them to find renewed aspirations the program intends to help young people reach their full potential and orient them towards a sustainable future. Who will you mentor? A youth in your community who is between 10 and 17 years old and shares interests with you. Duration of the relationship: 1 year Frequency of the meetings: On a weekly basis (2-3 hours/week) for the first six months. Afterwards the frequency will decrease gradually up until the one-year mark. Where? At your local YMCA. What will we do together? Participate in sports, leisure, and capacity building activities that you will choose together. Goal of the meetings: Support the development of the youth while having fun. What can you bring to a youth in Plusone? An example of a responsible and caring adult An example of an individual who perseveres Support and training: Prior to and throughout the mentoring relationship you will be trained and supported by a program Support Worker who is qualified to intervene with the youth and their family as needed. You will also be asked to identify your own personal objectives for the experience and you will be supported in attaining those objectives by program staff.

About Women in Tech Women in Tech World (WinTech) is a rapidly growing organization with a mission to elevate women in the tech industry. As an industry-agnostic and community-building organization, we work with private companies, nonprofits, and government groups to organize professional development workshops, thought leadership panels, and other initiatives to promote women’s participation and professional success in the tech industry. Our Mission: To enable Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing training and community service. We carry out our mission through community service, and first aid, and CPR training. Community Services volunteers include uniformed members who serve communities across Canada, providing first aid and emergency response support, as well as improving the quality of life for people confined to a health care facility through our Therapy Dog visitation program. Our volunteers contribute millions of hours to Canadian communities each year. First aid and CPR training comprises instructors, volunteers and staff who provide high-quality first aid training and products. Under the guidance of our network of medical and health care professionals, St. John Ambulance is the national leader, setting the standard for training in first aid, CPR and other lifesaving skills.

ids Help Phone is Canada's only national 24-hour, bilingual and anonymous phone counselling, web counselling and referral service for children and youth. Created in 1989 to provide a way for young people to confidentially report abuse,  a unique telephone counselling service was launched providing free, accessible support to any young person reaching out, anywhere in the country. Over the past 25+ years, we have evolved our response and solutions, always focused on staying relevant to youth, recognizing the complexity of issues they face and ensuring counsellors are ready to address the continuum of emotional and mental health needs from crisis situations to the everyday concerns of growing up.

Camp fYrefly is a summer leadership retreat for sexual minority/gender variant and allied youth.

REALM, a Regina based registered charity, has been helping individuals with high levels of disability and their families build community based networks of support since 2008.  The role of a network is to support people with high physical disabilities. We call them Centres. We support by listening and learning who they are, by understanding what they want in order to live their best life, and helping them work towards achieving that best life.
