Second Harvest is the largest food rescue organization in Canada and a global thought leader in food recovery.
We work across the supply chain from farm to retail to capture surplus food before it ends up in the landfill which negatively impacts our environment.
Every year, we recover millions of pounds of nutritious, unsold food â focusing on protein, dairy and produce â which we rescue before it becomes waste. We redistribute it to a broad network of over 4,000 social service organizations. Supported by hundreds of corporations, foundations, and the community at large, we rescue and redistribute enough food to provide thousands of meals a day in Canada.
Since 1985 we have rescued and delivered more than 177 million pounds of food, preventing over 75 million pounds of greenhouse gas equivalents from entering our atmosphere.

HEROS is a mentor-based hockey program that provides free programming to our most vulnerable young people giving them a âteam for lifeâ. We celebrate those first tentative steps and their first goal on the ice and provide a safe and stable environment for young people to succeed and connect off the ice. We facilitate mentor relationships between dedicated volunteers and the participants as well as peer mentoring of older participants with their younger counterparts while focusing on four fundamental behaviours: listening, respect, discipline and having fun.  HEROS is more than hockey.
HEROS offers three programming streams: Future Stars, All Stars and Super HEROS. Our Future Stars and All Stars programming streams cater to youth who face socio-economic and personal challenges and our Super HEROS programming is designed for youth with cognitive and physical challenges.
mddl (pronounced âmiddleâ) is an expert in middle housing, with a collective track record of delivering hundreds of homes in established neighbourhoods. Weâve made many mistakes and learned from them, weâve celebrated successes, and most importantly, weâve realized that to make a meaningful impact, we canât do it alone. It is for this reason we have renewed our focus to support at-scale delivery of middle housing across Canadian cities.
As a CMHC Level Up Stage 5 Housing Supply Challenge Finalist, our mission, alongside strategic partners, is to build capacity from top to bottom, and to strategically partner with municipalities, industry experts and citizens in reducing barriers and delivering middle.
Defeat Depression is a national fundraising campaign that was launched in 2012 by Mood Disorders Society of Canada. Over the past seven years, dozens of events have taken place all over Canada, supporting local mental health organizations and encouraging individuals with mental health issues to speak out. We are looking to expand into more cities and are looking for organizing committee members to facilitate that.
The Defeat Depression campaign aims to provide hope and reduce stigma for those suffering from depression and other mood disorders. This campaign was launched by Mood Disorders Society of Canada in 2012, and has taken place in dozens of locations across Canada.

Earth Rangers is an environmental non-profit that empowers youth to take action for the environment. Our ER Teens program offers an opportunity for young Canadians aged 13-18 to take initiative for environmental causes they care about, such as wildlife conservation, climate change, sustainability, and more. By working remotely with staff, teens volunteer their time to complete an eco-action project of their choice; at home, at school, in their community, or online. Our flexible program ensures that teens can work at their own pace, while having the support and resources they need to make a positive impact.

The Saskatchewan Citizens On Patrol Association (SCOPA) is dedicated to fostering safer communities across Saskatchewan. SCOPA brings together Saskatchewan Citizens on Patrol members who share a mission: to make neighbourhoods safer through civic involvement and partnership.
SCOPA is a volunteer-based crime prevention program that works closely with the RCMP âFâ Division and municipal police forces to support safer neighbourhoods and stronger community connections.
Our volunteers patrol Saskatchewan communities by both vehicle and foot, serving as extra eyes and ears for law enforcement. By maintaining a visible presence in neighbourhoods, rural areas, and around local businesses, SCOPA members help deter crime, report suspicious activity, and promote public safety.
As part of the province-wide Citizens On Patrol Program (COPP), SCOPA focuses on crime prevention, community awareness, and traffic safety. Together with law enforcement, we build trust, cooperation, and safer communities throughout Saskatchewan.
