National Athletics Academy is looking for a Volunteer Youth Badminton Coach to join our youth sports programming and help deliver fun, engaging, and skill-focused badminton sessions for children aged 5–17 years.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for badminton, and wants to gain practical coaching and leadership experience in a community sports environment.🏸 PROGRAM SCHEDULEOctober 22 – November 13Thursdays & Fridays | 5:45 PM – 7:15 PMNovember 17 – December 10Tuesdays & Thursdays | 5:45 PM – 7:15 PMAvailability Requirement:Full availability for the scheduled days and times is required. The selected volunteer should be able to attend the entire 1.5-hour session on each scheduled day.Applicants should confirm their availability for both schedule periods when applying.YOUR ROLEAs a Volunteer Youth Badminton Coach, you will help create a positive and enjoyable learning environment while introducing young players to the fundamentals of badminton.Your responsibilities will include:Leading structured and engaging badminton sessions for children aged 5–17.Teaching basic badminton techniques, including grip, serving, footwork, strokes, and court movement.Planning age-appropriate drills, games, and activities.Helping children develop coordination, confidence, and fundamental sports skills.Providing positive encouragement and constructive feedback.Maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.Supervising children throughout training sessions.Encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.Working with other coaches and program staff to deliver an organized program.Assisting with setup, equipment organization, and other program-related activities as required.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORYou may be a great fit if you:Enjoy working with children aged 5–17.Have knowledge or experience in badminton.Have previous coaching, teaching, mentoring, or youth sports experience — an asset, but not required.Are patient, positive, responsible, and dependable.Can communicate clearly with children and encourage participation.Are comfortable leading groups of young participants.Have a genuine interest in helping children develop healthy and active lifestyles.Are willing to learn and develop your coaching skills.Previous formal coaching experience is not mandatory.
