This Saturday, March 28, is Earth Hour. At 8:30 PM, millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for one hour. It is a simple, powerful way to show we care about the future of our planet. But you can take that energy a step further right here in Regina.
Turning off the lights is just the beginning. There are many amazing local groups in SK working hard every day to protect nature, clean up parks, and build a greener future. They rely on people like you to help them do this important work.
You can use Earth Hour as a spark to get more involved in the Southern Saskatchewan area. Giving your time makes a real difference, whether you are planting trees, helping with a community garden, or supporting a local charity.
If you are ready to help, we make it easy to find a great cause. Here are a few ways you can get started:
- See what is out there: Check out all the different ways you can help in our community. View all volunteer opportunities.
- Help nature and wildlife: If you love the outdoors, find roles focused specifically on animal care & environment.
- Find a group you love: Want to see who is doing good work nearby? Look through our list of nonprofit organizations and filter them by your own interests.
Let's use this Earth Hour to do more than just sit in the dark. Let's work together to keep Regina beautiful!
