National Athletics Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Youth Volleyball Coach to join our community sports programs for children aged 5–17 years.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, has an interest in volleyball, and wants to develop practical coaching, leadership, and communication skills while helping young athletes discover the sport.

🏐 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

October 22 – November 13

Thursdays & Fridays | 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

November 17 – December 10

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Availability Requirement:

Full availability for the scheduled days and times is required. The selected volunteer should be available for the complete 1-hour session on each scheduled day.

Applicants should confirm their availability for both program periods when applying.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate volleyball sessions for children aged 5–17.
  • Introduce participants to basic volleyball skills, techniques, and rules.
  • Teach fundamentals such as serving, passing, setting, movement, and basic court positioning.
  • Plan and conduct drills, games, and activities that encourage participation and skill development.
  • Adapt activities to accommodate different ages, abilities, and skill levels.
  • Encourage children and provide positive, constructive feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and respect.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
  • Supervise participants throughout the training session.
  • Work collaboratively with other coaches and program staff.
  • Assist with equipment setup, organization, and other program-related activities as required.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal volunteer will:

  • Enjoy working with children aged 5–17.
  • Have an interest in or knowledge of volleyball.
  • Have previous volleyball coaching, playing, teaching, mentoring, or youth sports experience — an asset, but not required.
  • Be patient, positive, responsible, and dependable.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be comfortable leading activities for groups of children.
  • Be enthusiastic about helping children learn and develop.
  • Promote healthy, active lifestyles and positive sports experiences.

Formal coaching experience is not required. Training, guidance, and support will be provided to suitable volunteers.

YOUR COMMITMENT

The volunteer coach must be available for the full scheduled session on each applicable coaching day.
