Ignite Adult Learning Corporation is an education and training facility in Regina for adults (ages 16+) with multiple barriers to employment, including not having graduated from high school. Our mission is to empower our students to reach their employment, education, and personal goals. We value all forms of diversity, and we strive to create safe and culturally responsive learning spaces for everyone.

Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan is a transformational non-profit organization that changes lives throughout our province by providing free literacy, learning, and skills development programs for adults, families, and children. Our Mission: We provide foundational literacy, learning, and skills development for adults, children, and families through the work of staff, trained volunteers, and community partners. We are relentless in bringing our vision and mission to life because: Everyone has the right to learn, regardless of age. Strong literacy skills are not attained by chance. Communities have a right to responsive and effective literacy programs. Lifelong learning habits contribute to strong and resilient communities. Our own cultural perspectives are limited and therefore we will not make assumptions about the experiences and cultural expressions of others.

Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan (formerly READ Saskatoon) has offered free literacy services to adults and families in our community for many years. Since 1979, Foundations Learning has provided adult tutoring services with the help of trained volunteers and community partners. They have expanded to offer adult, family, children’s, and financial literacy programs and literacy facilitator training and resources. Our Vision: All Saskatchewan communities and individuals have equitable access to quality learning opportunities so everyone can fully participate and thrive. Our Mission: Foundations Learning provides foundational literacy, learning, and skills development for adults, children, and families through the work of staff, trained volunteers, and community partners. Literacy affects opportunities. Strong literacy skills provide people with tools that empower them to: have more confidence, more fully participate in the community, build better lives for themselves and their families, improve health outcomes, and attain better jobs and enhanced educational opportunities.

YRES is a Charitable Not-for-Profit Organization that uses the help of community partners in order to carry out a variety of ever-expanding Educational Services. Our volunteers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. YRES has many opportunities for volunteers as we are always expanding our programs. These opportunities allow you to give back to your community but also develop industry leading skills in a professional environment. The mission of York Region Educational Services is to provide individuals in the vicinity of the York Region with educational resources in a safe and supporting environment that inspires, motivates and helps set the foundation for personal growth.

Habitat for Humanity Canada brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership. With the help of volunteers and Habitat homeowners, local Habitats in every province and territory help build and rehabilitate safe, decent and affordable homes, including single-family and multi-unit houses. Habitat does not give away free homes — the families who partner with us pay an interest-free mortgage geared to their income and volunteer 500 hours with Habitat. As Habitat homeowners pay off their mortgage, the funds are invested into a revolving fund, which is used by their local Habitat to build more homes for low-income families in the community. Our model of affordable homeownership bridges a gap for low-income working families by providing them with the opportunity to purchase their own Habitat home and build a better life. Why affordable homeownership? We know that affordable homeownership plays an absolutely critical role in helping families create a new foundation for a stronger future, one that’s filled with possibilities and progress. Affordable homeownership allows families to foster the skills and confidence they need to invest in themselves and their communities, which has a life-changing impact on their lives. But the benefits of a Habitat home reach far beyond the four walls volunteers and families raise together. Because Habitat families have reduced reliance on social housing and food banks, better education and employment outcomes, and improved health, every Habitat home built helps create $175,000 worth of benefits for the local community.  

To build love relies on bringing the community together in the spirit of collaboration to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. This year we are building love for the Kennedy family by transforming their home with a major renovation that will improve the ease of mobility for eight year-old Vienna and empower her independence. Build Love is inspired by the goal to improve lives and strengthen community through meaningful acts of empathy, compassion, and collaboration.

mddl (pronounced “middle”) is an expert in middle housing, with a collective track record of delivering hundreds of homes in established neighbourhoods. We’ve made many mistakes and learned from them, we’ve celebrated successes, and most importantly, we’ve realized that to make a meaningful impact, we can’t do it alone. It is for this reason we have renewed our focus to support at-scale delivery of middle housing across Canadian cities. As a CMHC Level Up Stage 5 Housing Supply Challenge Finalist, our mission, alongside strategic partners, is to build capacity from top to bottom, and to strategically partner with municipalities, industry experts and citizens in reducing barriers and delivering middle.

From May 11 to 13, 2017, The Sound Stage will be transformed into a world-class production of fashion, creative design, entrepreneurship, and music. Imagination and creativity will come to life with the tenacious pursuit to excite and inspire spectators. Twenty+ fashion designers will show original men’s and women’s 2017 collections, and local retailers will show emerging Spring/Summer 2017 style trends.

The Irish Club of Regina is an non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting and supporting Irish culture within Regina and area. We currently support an Irish Dance group and are closely affiliated with two other schools of Irish Dance. We publish and send out a quarterly newsletter to our membership and maintain a website and Facebook page. We host the Irish Pavilion at the annual Mosaic Festival of Cultures and organize or support other events, workshops and activities throughout the year.

SaskGalleries (the Saskatchewan Professional Art Galleries Association) is a not-for-profit, member-based organization that represents Saskatchewan commercial art galleries who sell the art of local, national, and international artists, including more than 400 Saskatchewan artists. The mandate of SaskGalleries is: An association to promote, develop and encourage the growth of Saskatchewan professional commercial art galleries who exhibit and sell original works of Saskatchewan art.

Inspire & motivate people to discover the world through the art of motion pictures. Mandate Depict and promote world cultures through the art of cinema in Saskatchewan. Garner local, national and international media attention to showcase our unique festival programs and the best of world cinema. Enlighten, motivate and entertain the public by bringing powerful personal, inspirational and imaginative stories to Saskatchewan. Support and nurture Saskatchewan’s vibrant filmmaking community by bringing quality panels, workshops and networking events to the festival. Honor outstanding achievement in Canadian and International cinema by hosting a prominent award show in Regina, Saskatchewan. Provide publicity to the RIFFA Foundation’s charity of choice. Provide a quality platform to engage, educate and encourage marginalized cinematic artists to be creative an innovative in self-expression

This is the first one ever held in our Queen City and it’s going to be amazing! Nuit Blanche Regina will take place during Culture Days on September 29th, 2018. For those of you who haven't heard of Nuit Blanche, the term refers to a “Sleepless Night.” The concept originated in 1990 in Nantes, France, when Jean Blaise, the founder of the Research Centre for Cultural Development, curated a series of nighttime arts festivals under the theme “Les Allumées” (“The Lighted Up”). Paris organized its own version of this festival, using the name “Nuit Blanche,” in 2002. Since then, these events have been held in cities worldwide. Nuit Blanche is typically an annual, all-night festival filled with art installations, performances, music, film, and dance. It is a free event intended to be enjoyed by everyone.
