ABOUT US
We are a registered, non-profit organisation that is provincially and federally permitted to operate across the province of Saskatchewan. Since our founding in 2006, we have built a supportive network of dedicated volunteers who help us provide helpline, rescue and transport services.
At WRSOS, we believe that wildlife and humans can live together successfully. Our goal as an organisation is to facilitate the well-being of wildlife. We stand in solidarity among the provincial wildlife guardians in Saskatchewan and are dedicated to minimising wildlife suffering due to human interaction.
Youth Eco-Stewards is an initiative of Invasives Canada funded by Canada Service Corps. We previously ran a pilot project in 2024 called Youth Nature Keepers. This program provides youth between 12-30 years old with the opportunity to remotely learn about the environment, invasive species, and biodiversity at their own pace. Additionally, it offers funding support to attend conferences or register for certifications, which is geared towards youth looking to boost their Green Career
From May 11 to 13, 2017, The Sound Stage will be transformed into a world-class production of fashion, creative design, entrepreneurship, and music. Imagination and creativity will come to life with the tenacious pursuit to excite and inspire spectators. Twenty+ fashion designers will show original men’s and women’s 2017 collections, and local retailers will show emerging Spring/Summer 2017 style trends.
The Irish Club of Regina is an non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting and supporting Irish culture within Regina and area. We currently support an Irish Dance group and are closely affiliated with two other schools of Irish Dance. We publish and send out a quarterly newsletter to our membership and maintain a website and Facebook page. We host the Irish Pavilion at the annual Mosaic Festival of Cultures and organize or support other events, workshops and activities throughout the year.
SaskGalleries (the Saskatchewan Professional Art Galleries Association) is a not-for-profit, member-based organization that represents Saskatchewan commercial art galleries who sell the art of local, national, and international artists, including more than 400 Saskatchewan artists. This is the first one ever held in our Queen City and it’s going to be amazing! Nuit Blanche Regina will take place during Culture Days on September 29th, 2018. For those of you who haven't heard of Nuit Blanche, the term refers to a “Sleepless Night.” The concept originated in 1990 in Nantes, France, when Jean Blaise, the founder of the Research Centre for Cultural Development, curated a series of nighttime arts festivals under the theme “Les Allumées” (“The Lighted Up”). Paris organized its own version of this festival, using the name “Nuit Blanche,” in 2002. Since then, these events have been held in cities worldwide. Nuit Blanche is typically an annual, all-night festival filled with art installations, performances, music, film, and dance. It is a free event intended to be enjoyed by everyone.

New Dance Horizons (NDH) is a Regina-based not-for-profit organization that since 1986 has presented internationally acclaimed dance shows, produced original works, and organized activities that engage both the dance community and the general public.
NDH plays a distinctive and integral role in developing and strengthening the dance community in Saskatchewan. In addition to performance presentation, NDH offers courses, workshops, and lectures with guest artists and community events. Thanks to the bold artistic vision and community engagement of acclaimed Canadian artist and co-founder Robin Poitras, NDH has become nationally recognized as a champion of creative dance. NDH offers adventurous and ever-changing dance encounters for everyone.
Volunteer run non-profit organization that provides dragon boat programming and events in Regina. The Regina Dragon Boat Festival Inc. promotes cultural diversity, inclusiveness and harmony through the sport of dragon boating.
he South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra, comprised of 45-55 youth musicians, is seeking board members for the 2019-20 season.
Performing about 6 concerts annually, the organization is well established. Many former members now play for the Regina Symphony as well as orchestras across Canada.
The board meets almost monthly September to June in Regina. This coming year, there are several anticipated vacancies including treasury, sponsorship and floor management.
