We promote teamwork, discipline, confidence, respect, and a passion for the game while creating a positive environment for players to learn, improve, and compete.Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to volunteer as a Treasurer / Bookkeeper. The successful volunteer will help maintain accurate financial records, monitor the organization's financial activities, support budgeting and cash-flow tracking, and provide financial updates to the board.This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA, accounting professional, accounting student, retired finance professional, bookkeeper, or someone with relevant financial experience who would like to contribute to the development of youth soccer in Regina.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and maintain monthly revenues, including player registrations, sponsorships, and grants.Record and categorize expenses, including field rentals, equipment, referee fees, and other operating costs.Perform monthly bank reconciliations using accounting software or spreadsheets.Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.Prepare a brief financial update for board meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).Assist with annual budgeting and basic cash-flow planning.Assist the board with applicable non-profit financial reporting and annual filings.Maintain confidentiality of the organization's financial information.QualificationsExperience or education in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or business administration.CPA, accounting student, bookkeeper, or equivalent practical experience is an asset.Experience with QuickBooks, Wave, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar accounting tools is an asset.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.Interest in supporting community-based youth sports and non-profit organizations.Time Commitment & BenefitsApproximately 3–5 hours per month.One-year volunteer term, renewable by mutual agreement.Primarily remote/flexible, with occasional in-person board meetings in Regina.Opportunity to gain meaningful non-profit financial and governance experience.Volunteer reference letter and verification of volunteer hours available upon request.Potential registration-fee benefit for eligible family members, subject to organizational policy.How to ApplyPlease send a brief email outlining your background and interest in the position to info@wascanafc.com with the subject line β€œTreasurer Application – Wascana Soccer Academy.”
