Hi everyone,This July 17–19, Regina hosts the Western Canada Team Challenge at the Canada Games Athletic Complex. This is an important meet for athlete development, and it runs entirely on volunteers. We need around 40 volunteers over the 3 meet days, and welcome help from across the track and field community – track and field or run club members, families, alumni…basically, anyone who supports providing meaningful opportunities for young athletes! The roles are easy to learn, and we train you on the spot. You can sign up for 1 shift or several, whatever works around your day. If you are volunteering on behalf of an Excel athlete, please indicate the name of that athlete in the comments. If you are volunteering on behalf of another club, please share the club name so we express our thanks! The sooner shifts fill, the easier this is for everyone, so please grab yours now rather than waiting. And if you've got a teenager who needs volunteer hours for school, bring them – signed forms for school are no problem.Thank you for helping make this meet happen – we can’t host meets like this without your support!https://signup.com/go/QwGXEYA

Volunteers pick up food that would otherwise be thrown out from local businesses or growers and take it to service agencies. You can pick the routes/times that work best for you and volunteer as often as you like—no regular commitment required. Our Food Donation Guidelines will answer any questions you might have about what types of food you can pick up and what to decline. Our Guidelines for Transporting Donated Food walk you through how to complete a route.
Results is an advocacy nonprofit that believes in mobilizing everyday people (our volunteers) to generate the political will to end extreme poverty in low-and middle-income countries. We focus our work on global health, access to quality education and economic opportunities. We direct our energy and efforts at government decision makers like party leaders, Members of Parliament and senators because they have the power to improve policies and make the monetary investments needed to end extreme poverty. We also raise awareness by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) and op-eds, using social media, fundraising and more. Oftentimes the first step is putting these issues on the radar — and keeping the pressure on. It might seem like a small step, but it all adds up into impact. commitment: 1 year minimum, 1-2 hours per week on average support structure: Volunteers (virtually) meet in local groups on a monthly basis and rely on their group leader(s) for guidance. Attending other virtual calls and webinars led by Results staff is recommended. If you’re ready to learn about advocacy, causes and solutions to extreme poverty and committed to taking action every month, join us! Use the following link to sign up to volunteer today!
