Program volunteers (U-Crew) are integral to our Parkinson's-specific classes running smoothly! Volunteers bring an encouraging and positive atmosphere to class, helping participants live their best with the disease.Our U-Crew helps class instructors as needed and has the opportunity to provide support to various participants. Volunteers support by demonstrating seated exercise modifications taught by our instructor. Seated exercise demonstrations are needed in our Empower-U, Power Stretch and dance classes. Volunteering with U-Turn Parkinson's offers many ways to be active while making a difference.The role also includes setting up chairs and equipment, wiping down and putting away equipment, and connecting with participants. Volunteers will also be given opportunities to participate in any special events that are organized throughout the year.
